Arabic Condolence Messages, Thank-You Wording, and Ready Cards
A few sincere words in calm type are enough. Here are the phrases people use, what goes on a condolence, obituary, or thank-you card, and templates ready for your details.
Condolence phrases
Phrases people say when offering condolences, written as they are:
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعونTo God we belong, and to Him we return
May God magnify your reward, grant you solace and forgive your departed
May God magnify your reward and mend your loss
May God have abundant mercy on him and grant him a spacious place in Paradise

Thanking people for their condolences
After the days of mourning, the family thanks everyone who consoled them in person, by phone, or by message, in a short line:
شكر الله سعيكم، وأجزل مثوبتكمMay God reward your effort and multiply your recompense
We thank everyone who consoled us in person, by phone, or by message. May you never grieve for a loved one
Tiraz has a ready “thank you for your condolences” template for the name of the deceased and the family.
What goes on a condolence or obituary card?
- A line of remembrance or a verse at the top.
- “Passed away to the mercy of God,” then the name of the deceased and, if you like, the family relation.
- The time and place of the condolence gathering, for men and women if they differ, and its days.
- Contact numbers, and a closing line asking for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased.
Choose calm, clear type: Naskh for the text and Thuluth for the headline.

Download Tiraz from the App Store, then on Home tap the title of the condolence shelf to see all its templates; you can also browse them first in condolence templates. Templates with a crown are part of Tiraz Gold, the rest open for free. Pick the design closest to your taste, since every text and color in it can change afterward.

The condolence shelf in Tiraz: tap a template to open it in the editor. Type the names and details
Double-tap the text you want to change to open the text editor, replace the sample name («إلى الأستاذ / محمد أحمد») with yours and tap ✓. Change each text separately and keep its line breaks, so the template keeps its layout. The usual mistake is pasting a whole paragraph into one text, which shrinks the type and breaks the design.

The text editor: type your name over the sample name, then tap ✓. Choose the font
With the text selected, open Fonts, switch to the Naskh tab and try fonts while seeing your own word in each one. Fonts with a crown are part of Tiraz Gold, and a font downloads the first time you use it. Keep to two fonts: a calligraphic one for names and a clear one for details.

The fonts panel on the Naskh tab: the current font is outlined in gold. Export or share the design
Tap the gold share button at the top of the editor to open Export: a full-size PNG for free, and a print PDF, 4K, and transparent backgrounds with Gold. Tap Share to send it straight to WhatsApp, or Save to keep it in Photos. For a print shop always choose PDF; a phone image prints soft.

The export sheet: format, quality, and background, then share or save.
